Description
Walker Ranch in Placerita Canyon was a gigantic spread, often used for cattle grazing on these 1,310 acres. The original house burned down in 1918. I rode this beautiful place -- racing over the hills before it was fenced off. It was also used for filming. In the late 1950s Disney bought a parcel of land from the Walkers and they are now expanding their film studio here. Many historians are heartbroken because this land is now being developed for houses, condos and shopping mall. Goodbye old historic Placerita Canyon.
