Artist's Description
Walker Ranch in Placerita Canyon was a gigantic spread, often used for cattle grazing on these 1,310 acres. The original house burned down in 1918. I rode this beautiful place -- racing over the hills before it was fenced off. It was also used for filming. In the late 1950s Disney bought a parcel of land from the Walkers and they are now expanding their film studio here. Many historians are heartbroken because this land is now being developed for houses, condos and shopping mall. Goodbye old historic Placerita Canyon.

Olga Kaczmar worked as a graphic artist and advertising manager for 30 years. As a commercial artist, she produced layouts and renderings for patent applications, ads, exhibits and brochures. Her computer-generated famine-genocide posters were shown throughout USA, Canada, Ukraine, France, Australia, and United Kingdom. In 2007 & 2008, her art was used to promote a film and book on the Ukrainian genocide of 1932-1933. She founded an international organization and maintains a web site (www.dpcamps.org) for genealogy research and to unite relatives & friends lost after World War II. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Electronic Media Program & Production but continued taking classes in figure drawing,...
